OCEAN:
The Big 5 Personality Test
The OCEAN model, also known as the Big Five or NEO Personality Inventory (NEO-PI), is a widely validated psychological framework used to assess personality traits across five major domains. It is based on decades of research and offers a robust, trait-based view of individual differences that influence behavior, emotion, and thought patterns.
The Five OCEAN Traits:

-
Openness to Experience: Curious, imaginative, and open to new ideas, experiences, and unconventional values.
-
Conscientiousness: Organized, goal-oriented, and dependable, with strong impulse control and attention to detail.
-
Extraversion: Sociable, energetic, and assertive, often thriving in social situations and external stimulation.
-
Agreeableness: Compassionate, cooperative, and trusting, placing high value on interpersonal harmony and empathy.
-
Neuroticism: Emotionally reactive, prone to stress and negative emotions like anxiety, sadness, or irritability.
OCEAN for Team Dynamics, Agility, Adaptation, and Health:

As a team-based assessment, the OCEAN model provides insight into how individual personalities contribute to group cohesion, adaptability, psychological safety, and functional communication. Mapping a team's personality profile can help optimize agility, resilience under pressure, and the ability to adjust to evolving roles, stressors, and goals, ultimately promoting healthier and more adaptive team environments.
